A luxury residential and hotel development in Canary Wharf needed a complete signage package covering both external arrival areas and internal residential spaces. The brief called for signage that felt sophisticated and high quality throughout, communicated clearly to residents and visitors, and stayed within budget, all while matching the development's design language exactly.

Working alongside the client's design team, we produced a full signage system across multiple materials and finishes, manufactured in the UK and installed by our own experienced team.
External Signage
Illuminated Entrance Signage
We installed two sets of halo-illuminated letters and logos for the residential and hotel entrances. This elegant and effective signage creates a strong first impression. The bespoke colour and soft warm white LEDs contribute to a welcoming and inviting atmosphere.
Bespoke Ecology and Interpretation Signage
A one-off signage system was built into the site's raised planters, using brushed stainless steel uprights and custom brackets, with a powder-coated frame and printed information tray protected by a sprayed laminate. This gave the development a way to share information about local ecology and biodiversity, useful for any site looking to add interpretation or landscaping signage to shared green spaces.
External Wayfinding and Finger Post Signage
Positioned around the site perimeter, these totems combine powder-coated aluminium and stainless steel with internal illumination, improving night-time visibility and adding footpath lighting. Perimeter totems like these are a practical option for developments needing clear site identification and safer external routes after dark.

Strategically positioned around the site perimeter, these totems deliver on all design objectives while harmonizing with other external signage elements. Internal Signage
Bronze Lobby and Reception Signage
Behind the concierge desk, we fabricated bespoke lettering from 3mm toned bronze to match the development's fixtures and fittings, including a prominent built-up letter set roughly 500mm high alongside smaller flat-cut lettering. This set the internal visual identity carried through the rest of the building's signage.
Directories
Maintaining the design language introduced by the lobby signage, we developed a refined and visually coherent directory system. Each unit comprises a custom toned bronze panel featuring engraved text with infilled contrast detailing. To enhance the aesthetic appeal, these panels were mounted onto 10mm black acrylic backings, creating a floating effect with subtle shadowing.

The directory system continued the bronze design language, using engraved toned bronze panels with infilled contrast detailing, mounted on black acrylic backings for a subtle floating effect. Directional wayfinding elements were produced in fret-cut acrylic, finished to closely match the bronze tone, giving the same premium look at a more cost-effective price point where budget needed managing.
Bespoke Apartment Numbering
Individual apartment numbers were crafted from 5mm toned bronze to match the entrance lighting fixtures and maintain consistency with the lobby signage. Through multiple sample iterations and refinements to the toning process, a near perfect match was achieved. These numbers contribute a refined and elegant touch to each apartment entrance.
